ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Ramon Ridenour, a programmer Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Currently, I'm attending the Guildhall at SMU to get my masters degree and will be graduating this May.

I started my programming journey back when I was a sophomore in high school as web designer. A couple years later I became a software engineering intern for Rockwell Collins after successfully passing their summer C++ learning program. From then on, I've been improving my skills either in the classroom, on the job, or during my own time.

Video games have always been a passion of mine and my desire to create them is what lead me to programming. I've always believed fun gameplay is key to a good game which is why I enjoy gameplay and AI programming.

Besides video games and programming, I enjoy doing 2D animation, video editing, drawing, and rigging. I also enjoy watching anime and cheering for my favorite sports teams the Iowa Hawkeyes, Dallas Cowboys, and Vegas Golden Knights!

TESTIMONIALS
Below are some quotes I have received in my peer evaluations from my teammates on past projects.
He is good at self-direction but is also very open to redirection, which has made it really easy to work with him.

I like working with Ramon because he is the only one who can understand my design document immediately.

He has been really good about making things polished enough for Alpha and making things easy for LDs to implement.

He does blueprints with lightning speed and wrangles children, too; He's great on a team that involves kids that want to pop balloons!

Worked with him on the inflated balloon dog skin issues, I thought I was gonna have to re-rig the thing for the 20th time but he took the initiative to look up how to fix the issue we had and he made my life easier for the day.

Ramon is good about letting other people know when he's finished with a task and is willing to take on tasks that others ask him about.
